Environmental Management
As a modern transport company, it is our responsibility to operate in a sustainable manner. Since November 2012 Schmitt International´s environmental management system was certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2004.
State-of-the-Art Technology
State-of-the-art technology is one key for efficient and environmentally friendly services. The average age of our truck fleet is 3 years. All trucks and cars have environmental badges and Euro 5 / Euro 6 standard motors. Our drivers have to pass energy-efficient driving training programs on a regular basis. In cooperation with partner transport companies, we also avoid empty runs. Last but not least, we also use state-of-the-art technology in our offices and storages.
Reduction, Reuse and Recycling
As a matter of course we treat our resources responsibly and respectfully. Our "china storage case" is one example for a modern returnable container. China, glass, pictures or other fragile goods could be easily packed in this special hart-top case with protective packaging foam. This safes time, costs, enegy and resources. We also use corrugated card board several times. After its use, we recycle our packaging material accordingly.
Health and Safety
As a sustainable company, it is also our responsibility to ensure the safety and occupational health of our employees. Schmitt Internationals environmental management system also includes highest level and measures in health protection.
